Frank Remnick, the solitary U.S. marshal overseeing the serene yet harsh landscapes of Alaska, finds his world disrupted when a prison transport aircraft crashes in the isolated wilderness, releasing a multitude of dangerous prisoners. As he takes on the responsibility of safeguarding the town he has promised to protect, he starts to believe that the crash was not a mere mishap, but rather the initial part of a meticulously designed scheme with extensive and catastrophic consequences.
